Movie mogul is a term used to describe a powerful and successful person within the film industry. A movie mogul can hold huge sway in filmmaking decisions and commands huge respect within the industry, due to their potential power. Movie moguls can come from all parts of the filmmaking process, directors, producers, executive producers, studio owners and majority shareholders of large production companies; to a lesser extent it is also possible for actors and even writers to assume to role of movie mogul.
