Mambo is a Cuban originated style that was introduced by the African slaves that were introduced to the Caribbean Islands. It didn’t gain acclaim until the 1930’s, and then it took off not only in Cuba, but also in the United States. It has a unique dancing style as well that is highly enjoyed by those that listen to the Mambo. It has been a popular genre again since the 1990’s with the reintroduction of Swing music.
