Live Albums are typically a double edged sword. They are an easy means of making an album, but also can be a means of hindering a band if they accidentally screw up on stage. People at a concert will forget a goof up, but a recording will not. Some good examples of live renderings are: Paris by the Cure, All the things that could have been by Nine Inch Nails, and Live in Liverpool by Echo and the Bunnymen.
