French folk music is a style that is unique to France. It has had influences by respective neighboring countries, depending on the area of France. This music is mainly of French descent though. This music is a defining factor in the French culture and is one that is reflective to their neighbors, but unique in its influences being diversified, yet the development has been somewhat isolated. Much of this music has the French passion, but includes a depth that isn’t always found in folk music.
