Footwear is a term used to encompass all of the garments worn on the feet. Footwear is worn for several different reasons which include as a form of protection against harsh environments, for hygiene reasons as well as adornment. Footwear is also associated with the use of socks or hosiery which is usually worn when wearing some types of footwear such as sneakers. Footwear is available in a variety of designs, types and sizes and are considered an important part of fashionable dress.
