Folktronica is a genre that is the combining of folk music and electronica. It is one that has a broad definition due to the base criteria. Folk music is based solely on the region that it has originated from and electronica is based on any music that utilizes electronic equipment. Folktronica has music that could be in other genres, yet due to the base criteria this music is unique and doesn’t fit into the other genres properly.
