From ArticleWorld

Folk Punk is a fusion of folk rhythm and the aggression of punk music. This was commonly used in a musically violent fashion that would force political issue upon the listener and in some ways promoted an anarchist perception to the world at large. Much of this music was short lived and was only liked by a select mass in the underground. This was one of the more aggressive means of punk that was more structured and thus more violent with the words.
