Ethnomusicology is the study of ethnic implications to a region’s music or music in general. It is considered to be the anthropology of music. Ethnomusicology is to study the ethnic methodology of a particular piece or sets of music. This form of musical anthropology is used to determine the time frame of a composition because of certain nuances. This anthropology of music is also ideal for determining the genre a certain style of music would fit under.
