Cartography is the study and creation of maps or globes. This is a skill that was developed by the Greeks, although all they did was perfect an existing skill. The Greek made the art of map making into something closer to a science. Yet this science was still lacking. It wasn’t until modern times that the skill was perfected and the relative concept of consistency in ratios of space was determined.
