Animation is defined as being the illusion of motion created by displaying consecutive static images. This basically translates in the fact that every single frame is manually produced, as opposed with regular movies were the camera will automatically generate them. A computer can also help animation because it can anticipate movement and can eliminate the need of drawing by hand several frames. Because of the persistence of vision the individual will have the illusion of seeing a drawn object move.
