Animals are organisms that are categorized as part of the kingdom of Animalia (also known as Metazoa). Most of them can be characterized as being multi cellular, they can move (thus exercising the process of locomotion) and feed off other organisms. Animals are eukaryotic and multi cellular, making them different than most protests and bacteria and because they are heterotrophic and usually digest food in an internal chamber they are also different than plants and algae.
