American folk music is one of the most broad, yet most specialized groupings of folk music. There is no one true folk style within the United States. From events of war in sighted new folk music, the different cultures that melding into this one, or evolved into their own. There are also the prior cultures that were here up to the birth of this country. Plus the ethnic and religious diversity that is home within the United States. There are not a couple, but a whole array of unique folk subgenres within this one particular genre.
