Alcohol abuse is strongly linked with alcoholism. It is an excessive consuming of alcohol that can turn out to transform in a chronic disorder. Addiction and compulsion usually appears for the individual that abuses alcohol and medically speaking, alcoholism is considered to be an illness or allergy and by some specialists a biological disease. A specific diagnosis method for alcoholism has not been found although researched for years. The only approach to the subject is given by a disease model that is usually found in all people with the disorder.
