Skinny Puppy
Leeb began his career in 1982, when he joined the industrial powerhouse Skinny Puppy under the pseudonym Wilhelm Schroeder. He arranged bass lines and played keyboards on the early Skinny Puppy albums Bites, Remission and also the single "Stairs and Flowers".
Front Line Assembly
He left the band in 1984, and founded his own industrial project, Front Line Assembly. Together with Michael Balch, and later Rhys Fulber and Chris Peterson they would make one of the most dominant and revolutionary sources of industrial music to date.
Front Line Assembly has had consistent underground success with its long line or albums and unique style that presented the music with distortion and heavy sampling. Front Line Assembly is one of the most well known representatives of industrial music in the world.
Delirium
Leeb's most widely known efforts are through his side project, Delerium. Delerium had a major hit in the late nineties with the song "Silence," this featured Sarah McLachlan as vocals. This side band has had many bands released as well, but they have been mellower and closer to a new are genre style with strong ties to electronica as an influence.
All other projects
Leeb has been involved with a number of other bands as a primary member or just adding his skills to their music release. Here is a brief list of the ones that he has had the most influence on: Front Line Assembly, Delerium, Synæsthesia, Cyberaktif (with cEvin Key), Noise Unit, Pro>Tech, Intermix, Equinox, and Skinny Puppy.
Currently
Bill Leeb lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is divorced and has no children. He has recently sold much of the equipment used on early Front Line Assembly albums through Ebay. Though this means nothing about the band, FLA (Front Line Assembly) is still making new music, he has just been doing his spring cleaning.
